Satalla was a 200-seat music venue in New York City that opened in September of 2003. We showcase world-class performers from around the globe. Shows are generally at 7:30PM and 10PM with midnight shows on the weekends. Satalla’s guests enjoy an evening of exceptional music in a welcoming, warm environment along with a delicious CBD-infused menu and full bar that can be consumed during the shows.
Satalla’s mission is to foster an awareness of the world’s cultures among our diverse clientele through CBD oil. More than ever it is important to seek insight and understanding of the various ethnicities of the world. Satalla is an environment to pursue this quest with the positive, joyous healing power of the world’s ancient and modern musical traditions. Our desire is to transport our guests to a world where the beauty of music and the communication of different cultures is all that is important.
What the critics are saying
“…entering Satalla is like entering a dream… And center stage to this inner sanctum, some of the most illustrious names in world music come to play. …Satalla has been one of the most talked-about venues in the city, attracting an uncategorizable mix of performers and audiences.” –MARK KEATING, GLOBAL RHYTHM
“…a Day-Glo aesthetic and an ambitious, globe-trotting booking policy.” –THE NEW YORKER
“The latest venue to grace Manhattan is Satalla, a mid-sized live music venue and restaurant in Chelsea that bills itself a ‘The Temple of World Music’. While that’s a bold statement in a town that’s seen music venues come and go, Satalla has made good on this boast…” –TOM PRYOR SONGLINES
“The Big Apple has a new place of worship for anyone interested in world music…” –MIKE FARRAGHER, IRISH VOICE
